Barra de Potosi

I woke up early and wanted to do laundry so I didn’t get to the village of Barra de Potosi, my next destination, with sandy items filling my backpack.  I found una lavendería  downtown, got the process started and I headed to the Mercado where I got some fruit and a smoothie and admired the usual hustle and bustle.

Chena Hot Springs — Feb 4

It’s amazing how wiped out we are, but I guess a day of hiking, getting cold, and soaking in 104 degree water can do that to you.  I sat back at the cabin we’ve been calling home for a few nights, remarking how much living I fit into five hours today.

Bonjour Arles — Oct 13

I am sitting at Calendal, a cute little hotel in Arles, a modest sized town in Provence, only miles from the Mediterranean Sea.

We woke up in Gordes and not that it mattered much, because we were checking out anyway, but there was no electricity in our home.

Owyhee Canyon — Boise to Jordan Valley

The Basque Hotel, not to be missed. You simply haven’t lived, until you have been at the Basque Hotel. And I lay here late at night, so happy to be in a comfortable bed.  Where is the Basque Hotel you ask? France or Spain, in the Pyrenees?  No actually, it’s in the town of Jordan Valley (JV),

If we moved to JV,

Onward to Hana — May 30

I am sitting outside in the moonlight at Wai’anapanapa State Park. Listening to the waves crash in below me. It’s awesome.

I awoke at 5am at the YMCA camp and went outside to watch the sunrise. The moment I stepped outside, I felt something crawl across my bare feet,

Hana to Kipahulu — May 31

It is very late, technically, it’s Monday, and I am in a most wonderful spot in Kipahulu, feeling blissful on so many levels.

I woke up at Wia’anapanapa State Park and went for a morning walk. I have taken Scooter for his morning walk for years and now he has me trained.

Snorkeling & ‘Iao State Park — Jun 5

OK – you may not believe it, but here I sit, at Sansei Sushi again. I promise you, I am not planning on getting accustomed to listening to drunk people singing while I chow down on raw tuna, but through a situation of happenstance, here I am, for the second night in a row.
