Morocco

Films like Casablanca and songs like Marrakesh Express hint at the possibilities of this small yet exotic country. I, like many, have been curious about this distant land. Much of Morocco is a red desert, punctuated with so much color and character. It is a place that is rapidly developing, but where traditional life reigns in many ways. On the one hand, a visit here will bring you back in time. Donkey carts carrying alfalfa, street vendors tending coals to cook kebabs, and leather workers crafting goods by hand are everyday sights in Morocco. On the other hand, an elderly Muslim woman may zip by you on her motor scooter, nearly knocking you to your knees. Anyone who has visited Morocco would agree that it is a land of contradictions, wonderment and intrigue.
