Cuba

Cuba was on my bucket list for quite some time. I will admit, part of the attraction was getting away with something I wasn’t supposed to do. But once I was there, I was swept away by the heartbeat of the music, the proliferation of art, the colonial architecture, the 1950 Chevys, and much more. Cubans do not hold a grudge against Americans.  In fact, they are eager to bridge the gap that has grown between us. In some respects, their culture is very progressive. Yet, it’s a land of contradictions and not always easy to figure out. It was easier to travel in Cuba than I thought it would be. Two weeks there definitely has me yearning for more.  It is anyone’s guess as to the future of American and Cuban relations, so get there while you easily still can!
